The USB plug is a lifesaver for keeping it lit on my desk all day without worrying about batteries dying mid-party. The arcs dance around so hypnotically when I touch the glass, it’s become my favorite little conversation starter for Halloween get-togethers.

The plasma arcs actually respond to touch, which kept my kids entertained for hours. It's compact enough to sit on a desk and bright enough to use as a nightlight.

I was pleasantly surprised by how bright the lightning bolts are inside this 5 1/2-inch orb, even in a well-lit room. The battery power makes it easy to move around for Halloween decorations, and the USB plug is a nice bonus for my desk.
